Plant-based cooking / meal planning
My passion for nutrition and healthy living took root when I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in January 2016. Discouraged and unsatisfied with the prognosis I was given by the rheumatologist, I turned to researching all I could about the role of dietary and lifestyle modifications in the progression of this debilitating disease. This path led me to pursue a Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Integrative Health with a concentration in Herbal Medicine. I am happy to say that my focus on adding nutrient-dense whole foods to my diet has not only improved my RA symptoms and helped me lose excess weight but has me feeling healthier overall than I have since I was a kid.
After graduating in April 2019, I officially launched my nutrition practice, A Crisp & Healthy Life. At A Crisp & Healthy Life, we work on bringing the body back into balance using nutrition and herbs as the foundation to help the body heal itself. Combining this nutritional foundation with supportive lifestyle modifications such as movement, stress management, sleep hygiene and positive social support will help us develop sustainable changes as we build our healthy life.
Whether you want to increase your energy levels, reduce systemic inflammation, use nutrition to help prevent/manage chronic disease or simply feel better, A Crisp & Healthy Life is here to support and guide you on your journey so you can achieve your personal health and wellness goals. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch and I'd be happy to discuss the nutrition services A Crisp & Healthy Life offers.
